A lovely day out at Highgrove for our older people

We had a wonderful day out to The Orchard Room at Highgrove Gardens for a lovely Winter Warmer with our Ageing Well Service participants.
It was a lovely surprise to be hosted by Chef Raymond Blanc, an Ambassador of The King’s Foundation, who served up a delightful vegetable soup with rustic bread, and a delicious lemon cake for dessert.

The King’s Foundation Winter Warmers initiative was first introduced in 2023 to combat social isolation in the local community during the winter months. We were delighted to be invited back for a third year with our guests very much enjoying the occasion. ✨️

Kim Kimbell, Ageing Well Service Coordinator, said: “This event shows how important our work is. For some of our people here, some weeks they don’t see anybody. Being able to be part of The Churn Project and to have beautiful opportunities like this, there are smiles all round.”
