Are you over 60 years old and seeking a new perspective on difficult issues, the chance to share writing with other like-minded people, or looking to discover (maybe rediscover) your creative spirit?
Our Writing for Wellbeing Programme is a series of guided writing activities designed to increase self-awareness and emotional wellbeing. It is an opportunity to share writing with others, and share your feelings and responses.
You will be part of a small group meeting weekly to explore and share different styles of creative writing and personal expression. It’s a chance to try different kinds of writing – poems, prose, character, dialogue, description, story… Nothing is compulsory!
No previous writing experience is needed, only a willingness to give it a try in a nurturing and supportive environment.
The course is led by Caroline Hukins, a counsellor formerly with Cotswold Counselling and We Hear You, a cancer support charity. She is a qualified Humanistic and Integrative Counsellor, with a Certificate in Creative Writing for Therapeutic Purposes from Metanoia Institute.
Caroline works in private practice, as counsellor, writer, and group facilitator. She is passionate about using creative writing to support individual clients and groups. For more information go to: http://carolinehukins.com
The programme’s six sessions will take place on: 13th January, 20th January, 27th January, 3rd February, 10th February and 24th February (Note: no meeting on 17th February).
